Figure 8-22: Comments are extremely useful for inserting into the code information not visible on the rendered Web page. By default, Dreamweaver inserts a Comment symbol in the Document window. You can hide the Comment symbol by choosing Edit Preferences (Dreamweaver Preferences) and then deselecting the Comments checkbox in the Invisible Elements category. You can also hide any displayed Invisibles by choosing View Visual Aids Invisible Elements or using the keyboard shortcut, Ctrl+Shift+I (Command+Shift+I). You can also add a comment using the Snippets panel. To use this method, choose Window Snippets to open the panel and then expand the Comments folder. In the Document window, position the cursor where you want the comment to go. In the Snippets panel, double-click the type of comment you want to add or select the comment, and click the Insert button. If you are working in Code view, type your comment between the inserted tags. If you are working in Design view, select the Comment symbol; then, in the Comment Property inspector, replace any default text that Dreamweaver may have added with your comment.

Figure 7.5 The Status IE. Consider the ITU-T format of the last three octets first. The last bit in each three octets is the extension bit which should be familiar from the concept of address extension (EA) bits in the frame relay header. Here, as there, the function of this bit is to indicate to the receiver whether the DLCI numbering is extended into the next octet (0) or not (1). In these three octets, the extension bit pattern is 0 1 1, meaning that the DLCI is extended into the second octet (0), but that s all (1), and the third octet is the last of this IE (1). As with the frame relay header, the first (high-order) six bits of the DLCI are in the first octet and the last (low-order) 4 bits of the DLCI are in the second octet when 10-bit DLCIs are used. Naturally, this system allows for the Status message to report the larger DLCIs used in larger than 10-bit numbering schemes. The other four bits in the first two octets are just spare bits and must be set to 0 bits, although why they are spare and not reserved is anyone s guess. The use of the term spare makes it seem as if the bits could be used if some other bits are busy doing other things at the time, but this is never the case, of course.

There is no fool-proof, cross-browser, cross-platform way to properly print a document from a webpage without user intervention. The only workable workaround would be to display the PDF in an iframe/embed and call window. print() on it from the parent frame. See Print PDF directly from JavaScript.

I did a little research on this topic and I curious why didn't you return the FileStream for the pdf you created inside of your using statement.

This request brings us to the third limitation of CONVERT. The function does not allow you to define units of your own. CONVERT knows about kilometers, meters, statute miles, nautical miles, inches, feet, yards, angstroms, and picas (a pica is 1/72 inch). You can transform a distance from one unit to any of the other units of distance from this list. But the function is totally brain dead when it comes to astronomical units (the approximate distance between the Earth and the Sun). It would be nice if CONVERT could incorporate new types of units into its rubric of conversion factors. Unfortunately, this is not a design feature of CONVERT. I do have a workaround for you to accomplish this. It is a custom function called MyCONVERT. The function has the following syntax:

Absorbing boundary condition: rst-order, 19, 25, 55 57, 168, 170, 338, 365 for Floquet modes, 325, 333 for oblique incidence, 298, 306 implementation of, 58 re ection coef cients, 57 61 second-order, 56 Active input impedance, 301 Active re ection coef cient, 301, 361 Active resistance, 303 Adaptive integral method, 91, 402 Aggregation, fast multipole method, 402 Anisotropic-medium PML, 64, 111 Antenna feed modeling, 147 164 current probe, 148 152 voltage gap generator, 152 155 waveguide feed, 155 164 Antenna gain, 164, 259 Antenna platform interaction: coupled analysis, 389 decoupled analysis, 405 Antenna thickness factor, 155, 240 AntFarm, 409 Antipodal Vivaldi antenna, 254 Approximate boundary condition, 19 Archimedean spiral antenna, 207 Array factor, 325 Axisymmetric antenna, 264 283 BiCGSTAB, 342, 349, 355 Bandpass lter, 195 Basis functions: hierarchical, 50 higher-order, 50 interpolatory, 50 vector, 22 Biconjugate gradient method, 342 Boundary condition, 18, 44 Boundary integral equation, 269 for periodic structures, 296
