In our previous post, we used the getUserMedia API for camera access. For example, Figure 15-12 shows a view where the grouping is specified to be on the Sex property of the Person objects. The result is two groups, named F and M, since these are the two values that the data has for this field. Setting the GroupDescriptions property of the view, however, isn t the only thing you need to do to display the groupings. Getting groupings to show up in the target requires an additional step. The view can organize the data objects into groups, but the target container must know what to do with these groups and how to display them. For that, you need to set the GroupStyle property of the target control. The GroupStyle property allows you to specify such things as headers for groups and whether to hide a group if it has no members. Most frequently, you ll set accessories using an accessoryType constant that has four possible values, as shown in table 5.8. An accessory can be set as a property of a cell: Quantization. Quantization is the process of converting an analog signal to its representative digital format or, as in the case with compression, the requantizing of an already converted signal [16]. This process is the limiting of a finite level measurement of a signal sample to a specific present integer value. This means that the actual level of the sample may be greater or smaller than the preset reference level it is being compared with. The difference between these two levels, called the quantization error, is compounded in the decoded signal as quantization noise.
